The Football Association of Ireland has published its guide to the Government's Sports Capital Programme. The National Lottery-funded Sports Capital Programme, provides funding to voluntary sporting and community organisations at local, regional and national level throughout the country towards the provision of football and other sport and recreational facilities.

2004 Sports Capital Programme

The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O'Donoghue TD, wishes to announce that applications for funding are now being invited from sports organisations, clubs and community groups, etc. under the National Lottery funded Sports Capital Programme in respect of the round of grants for the year 2004.

Proposals for the development of sport and recreational sports facilities will be considered for funding under the Programme with special priority being given to the development of facilities in disadvantaged areas in line with Government policy aimed at increasing participation in sport and recreation in those areas.
